Freemasonry & Fairways
We have created a unique lodge in which the ancient traditions of Freemasonry meet a shared passion for the fairways. Our lodge is built on the spirit of friendship, offering a welcoming environment that brings together Masons who love the game and golfers who are seeking a community grounded in lasting values. Whether you are already a Brother or simply someone who appreciates the integrity of the sport, you will find a home here.
We combine the moral foundations of masonry; integrity, friendship, and respect, with the social enjoyment of golf. It is about more than just a scorecard; it is about the bonds formed on the course and in the lodge room. We provide a space where the competitive nature of the game takes a backseat to the genuine fellowship that defines both our institutions.
This page is designed for active Masons looking for a special interest lodge, golfers interested in discovering the mysteries of Freemasonry, and those curious about how these two worlds complement one another. No matter your handicap or your level of Masonic knowledge, Cheshire Fairways Lodge welcomes you to join a fraternity that extends far beyond the club house.
For Existing Freemasons
If you are already a Freemason and enjoy the great game of golf, we offer a unique 'home' to combine both passions. JOINING is a seamless transition; we welcome Masons of all abilities to join our four annual meetings and seasonal golf days, where the focus is firmly on fellowship, integrity, and shared enjoyment of the sport rather than intense competition.

Membership FAQ
Do I need to be a good golfer to join?
Not at all. We welcome golfers of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned players. Our focus is on the spirit of friendship and enjoying the game together rather than intense competition. Some of our members are not golfers at all but enjoy watching the sport. It doesn't matter whether you play golf or not.
What are the costs involved?
Membership involves an annual lodge subscription of £95 and modest fees for golf days. There is also a meal at the social board after every lodge meeting which is usually around £30. We are happy to discuss the specifics during your enquiry.
What is the time commitment?
The Lodge holds four formal Masonic meetings a year between October and April, typically on Friday evenings. During the summer, we host four golf days. We value family life and professional work, so attendance is always based on your availability.
Is there a specific dress code?
For our Masonic meetings, formal dark suits and white shirts are standard in addition to your masonic regalia. On the golf course, we follow the golf club's dress code. We always aim for a smart, respectful appearance that reflects our values.
Can non-Masons attend Lodge events?
While formal meetings are for Masons, we host several social golf days throughout the year where friends, family, and those curious about the Lodge are warmly invited to join us.
Can non-members attend Golf events?
Yes, absolutely. We are very happy for non-members and non-masons to join us on our golf days. It's a great way to meet us and find out more about what we do. Just get in touch.
